Ascend Performance Materials, a global premium provider of high-quality chemicals, fibres and plastics, is exhibiting its No-Shock® anti-static fibre at the ongoing Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) Expo 2016, being held in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA.
No-Shock® is a permanent, bi-component anti-static fibre for use in consumer, industrial and military apparels. The material is based on the company’s nylon 6,6 fibre, manufactured at its facility in Pensacola, Florida. It offers benefits across a range of apparel applications such as activewear, athleisure and shapewear, childrenswear, eveningwear, fleece, performance wear and sleepwear.
“Fibbers like No-Shock® are growing in demand because they offer customers in the uniform and apparel industries new clothing options that make their lives easier. No-Shock’s® bi-component fibres dissipate static, repel lint and dust, and improve drape and laundering results in garments. Also, the chemical replacement in fibres give our customers the choice for a more environmentally-friendly option which lasts for the life of the garment,” said Harrie Schoots, Business Development Manager, Ascend Performance Materials.
