With the weather getting warmer, Resil Chemicals, a diversified chemical and performance materials manufacturer, has recently announced the launch of three intelligent summer garment technologies – Coolit, Neu Dri and Soladel.
These technologies, meant to help make garments suitable for the summer season, are expected to make the wearer feel free, cool, dry and confident.
Speaking on the sidelines of the launch, Ganesh Srinivasan, Chief Technology Officer, Resil Chemicals Private Limited, said, “We were the pioneers in innovative textile technology with our anti-odour garment technology, N9 Pure Silver™. We soon realised that customers had other pain points too, when it came to wearer comfort, ie feeling cool, feeling dry and clean, especially in summer.”
Speaking on the material, he said, “In our research, we found that one of the biggest challenges for physically active customers is sweat, especially during the summer months. Physical activity generates perspiration, causing discomfort and chafing; most active wear garments, being Polyester-based fabrics that block evaporation of sweat, results in its condensation between the skin and the garment. Our product offerings will prove useful for everyone in the hot weather.”
“These technologies are completely safe for garments and the environment… They have been proven to be highly effective after extensive testing; I could say that they are the future of textile finishing. We have spent over one million dollars in developing these technologies. These projects took over five years — from concept to consumer,” he added.
On their pricing, he stated that it vary from 5 to 20 per cent from conventional products, depending on the brand selling it.
With over 25 years of product development and innovation for the textile industry under its belt, Resil has become one of Asia’s largest innovative makers of silicone-based garments. Resil has a whole new range of products based on emerging technologies, such as anti-microbials for various industrial applications (mainly textiles, plastics, and leather). Advanced Functional Materials for various specialty applications can also be provided on request.
Among the company’s newest creations, Coolit is a sustainable cooling technology, which responds dynamically to body temperature and sweat, keeping the wearer cool even on the go. NeuDri is a dynamic drying technology that rapidly wicks perspiration from the surface of the user’s skin and transfers it to the fabric’s surface, leaving the user feeling dry, comfortable and cool. Soladel, meanwhile, is a technology to keep outdoor wear clean as long as you are out under the Sun. It actually uses the sunlight to remove organic dirt, easing the washing process, preventing your favourite clothes from getting ruined.
