Pi-xcel, a digital receipt solution, has successfully concluded its seed funding round, raising an impressive US $ 1.7 million to further revolutionise the retail industry. This milestone funding was headed by Wavemaker Partners, a renowned venture capital firm, including investors Hustle Fund, Amand Ventures, and Black Kite Capital. Additionally, strategic angel investors recognised the transformative potential of Pi-xcels’ technology and came on board.
Pi-xcels CEO, Daniel Lim, expressed “We are shaping the future of retail with paperless receipts and data-centric shopper journeys. At the heart of Pi-xcels’ groundbreaking solution is their NFC-enabled Point of Sale (PoS) device, allowing for the issuance of interactive e-receipts through a simple, contactless tap on a customer’s smartphone, eliminating the need for wasteful paper receipts. Importantly, this process requires no app downloads, QR code scans, or sharing of personal information, prioritising both security and convenience”
In addition to reducing environmental impact, Pi-xcels’ e-receipts serve as a gateway to omnichannel marketing. Simultaneously, Pi-xcels provides real-time transaction intelligence, empowering businesses with actionable insights.
Andy Hwang, General Partner at Wavemaker Partners, lauded Pi-xcels’ innovative approach, stating, “Pi-xcels makes it seamless for businesses and payment platforms to adopt digital receipts. Apart from simplifying the process for consumers, the solution seamlessly integrates with existing payment terminals, simplifying adoption for merchants”
