MySize Inc., developer of smartphone measurement technology based in Israel, has announced the impending launch of its e-commerce platform applicator.
Named MySizeID, the app will provide both established and emerging retailers with an easy to use method to incorporate the company’s sizing technology into their pre-existing website.
A turnkey version of the app is being developed that entitles third-party access for seamless integration directly on the platform where the retailer’s website is built on.
Since about 75.9% of the e-commerce market is developed on just 4 platforms, (according to a report by Engadget in 2016) the app’s rollout should be quick once it’s ready.
Once the application is active and running on the e-commerce platforms, the retailers just have to plug the MySizeID widget into their current website code and the website is good to go!
The plugin will then let the digital shopper take his/her measurements on their basic smartphone and then match themselves to each brand’s corresponding sizing chart.
This will effectively eliminate confusion between different sizing systems of different sites or brands and reduce the uncertainties concerning fits while shopping online.
“When buying clothes online, especially from new brands, it can be difficult for shoppers to know which size is the right fit for them. MySizeID changes this by offering an accurate and user-friendly solution to online retailers to ensure their consumers get the right fit, every time,” said Ronen Luzon, CEO, My Size, Inc.
Luzon further corroborated that MySize’s e-commerce rollout will be an important approach them to monetize their technological offering by ‘charging each storefront that uses our apparel sizing app a monthly fee’.
