In collaboration with technology pioneer Zyler, department store John Lewis has introduced a new rental service that enables customers to virtually try on rental items prior to making a purchase.
The HURR-powered John Lewis Fashion Rental service will now include the try-on technology. Customers can now get a digital mock-up ‘try on’ image by clicking the ‘try on’ button on the product page. The programme, which covers 750 items of clothing, is a first for a UK rental service.
Customers browse about 255 products before deciding to make a rental buy, according to Zyler, which has also worked with companies including M&S. Fashion companies have witnessed an 18% increase in sales conversions because to their digital try-on function.
To participate in the trial, customers simply need to upload a headshot, provide their height, bra size, and dress size, and a digital image will be created. Customers can preview the length, style, and colour before making a purchase.
Innovation Lead at John Lewis, Danielle Gagola, commented, “We’re extremely excited to be able to lead the way in rental innovation by partnering with Zyler on our new ‘try it on’ function.”
