As part of its digital transformation strategy, the UK-based sports apparel retailer JD Sports has chosen Jesta’s retail management suite for its Canadian operations. The suite includes cloud-based solutions for omnichannel, point of sale, merchandising ERP, warehouse management, analytics, and loss prevention.
It contains functions, features, and integrations that make it easier for the head office, warehouse, store, and e-commerce teams to work together. With intentions to open more than 80 stores in the following five years, JD Sports entered the Canadian market in 2021 and currently runs 23 outlets.
JD Sports Canada CEO Gary Ochi said: “The Canadian marketplace has responded positively to JD and we want to give customers who shop in-store and online the best possible cross-channel experience by leveraging leading technology that optimises visibility, accuracy and speed.”
The approach for JD Sports Canada’s digital transformation was motivated by shifting consumer expectations for an omnichannel retail experience and shifting buying patterns.
