PFAFF, a leading German sewing technology provider, has developed a new automatic mask making machine – PFAFF 4520, which is CE compliant.
The new production unit is suitable for processing multi-layer disposable face masks and is a result of ‘German engineering’. The machine is said to be a combination of 150 years of technical expertise of the company in joining textile materials using process control, robotics and automation.
The size of the mask produced on new automation machine is 175×95 mm with a production output of around 4,000 pcs per hour. 1-, 2- or 3-ply masks (made up of non-woven/filtration fabric) can be processed on the machine.
The whole unit is said to be extremely quiet while operated and comes equipped with protective housing in order to ensure occupational safety of the operators.
PFAFF can also provide packing station and printing station for personalised mask production on request.
According to an official release from PFAFF, there should be reliance on right machinery for the face mask production in COVID-19 times as well as need is there to avoid costly readjustments in a machine or an unnecessary further investment due to lack of required attachment and features in the machine. “PFAFF 4520 fits perfect on all these significant parameters,” shares PFAFF.
