At the Mehala Exhibit, showcasing for the first time was ‘nshot’ the innovative digitizer in one camera shot from N-Hega the manufacturers of this unique product. The product, quite appropriate for the industry in terms of saving time and effort that goes into manually digitizing patterns, was quite a hit at the GTE. The concept is claimed to be the most accurate, versatile and easy way to convert actual patterns into digitized patterns, which automatically appear on the screen with a simple shot. The complete process is in three simple steps – capture, edit and export.
The n-shot consists of a camera suspended from a frame or ceiling to take photos of pattern pieces placed on a table beneath the camera. With a click of the mouse the pattern is automatically digitized. Once the pattern appears on the screen, a live window on the side bar shows the real time camera view of the table. Simple tools are provided for editing including combining pieces, smoothening lines, mirroring pieces, adding notches, drilling holes, seam lines among others. Further the image retains all the information, which is conveniently stored in the memory so that a user never loses any marking. The user friendly nature of the concept is its biggest advantage.
Another major feature of the product is the ability to export the file for grading to multi formats like Accumark, Polygon, Lectra, Optitex to name a few. There is potential for expediting information exchange between factories at different locations as the information can go online in a jiffy.
