“Even the best machines have scope for improvement,” believes Karl Mayer. The company has recently added new features to its two lace making machines – JL 42/1 and JL 59/1 B – which have now become much faster, flexible, compact, accurate and highly efficient. These machines are extremely sophisticated and are among the best selling machines in the Jaquardtronic lace making machine series of the company.
The speed of these machines has been increased by 40% from 630 RPM to 850 RPM. The important parameters can be controlled clearly and all the information relating to the machine can be obtained by just using the touch screen interface. A machine control computer system with ethernet connection also enables the JL 42/1 to be linked to a network or to the machine control station. The pattern data can also be loaded easily and reliably via a new, easy-to-use USB interface.
On the other hand, the new JL 59/1 B machine – compact, fast and flexible, is the new addition to the Jaquardtronic® lace family and is based on the design of the JL 42/1 lace machine, but the patterning features have been specifically extended to give it more string bars. The number of string bars has been increased from six to eight strings within the individual shog lines which helps to produce a wide range of designs and process various types of yarns. Even finer and more varied patterns can now be produced.
By basing the design of the JL 59/1 B on the high-speed JL 42/1 B, speeds of up to 850 RPM can now be achieved.
