Juki has come up with innovative DDL-9000A series of its single needle lockstitch machines. Among the various useful features of the machine is its feed efficiency. The amount of vertical movement under the presser bar is reduced. This prevents jumping of the presser foot and ensures secure hold of material as it feeds in from the edge of the presser foot. When using a special purpose presser foot such as a compensating foot, the feed mechanism improves the feed efficiency by 50%. Also, when an extra light weight material is used, the machine is able to sew the material from its edge and perform the reverse stitching at the end of the seam due to extra low presser foot pressure. The needle bar stroke is also adjustable in three different modes as per the needs of the material.
The thread knots are located at the exact centre of the stitches regardless of the nature of material used (light weight and heavy weight). Thus, the sewing on a range of materials from light weight to heavy weight is possible. The machine produces uniformly tensed seams with consistency without any adjustments, even when it is used for a sewing process consisting of steps which handle different materials with different thickness. As a result the machine upgrades the basic seam quality and reduces time required by adjusting the machine at setup changing.
| Needle bar stroke | Thread take-up lever stroke | |
| A: Light-weight | 29.0 mm | 110 mm |
| S: Medium-weight | 30.7 mm | 110 mm |
| H: Heavy-weight | 35.0 mm | 113 mm |
The direct drive motor transfers power to the machine with no energy loss, resulting in a significant reduction in the power consumption and offering remarkable economic benefits. Since, direct drive motors don’t require any mechanical systems like V-belts due to their direct coupling with the machine’s main shaft; they thus, transmit less noise and vibrations. This significantly reduces operator fatigue in the long run.
The hook, moving knife, counter knife and other consumable part of the machine are interchangeable with other conventional models of Juki.
