A new innovative Direct Drive machine from Zoje which saves nearly 60-75% energy thereby increasing efficiency 15-20% was a step in that direction. The technology behind the saving is the reduction in the starting and stopping time of the machine. While the starting time is just 200 ms to get from 0 to 5000 RMP, the stop time from 5000 RMP to 0 needs just 120 ms. Being a direct drive motor, there is no slippage of motor belt and entire power is used to drive the main shaft of the machine, thereby also saving of energy.
The Unit Production Hanger System ‘Smart MRT’, a joint development between Singapore Machinery Co. Pte. Ltd. company and the Japanese company Hashima Corporation, consists of an overhead transportation system that automatically delivers a piece of cloth to a target work station sequentially according to a planned work flow schedule. This ensures uninterrupted flow of sewing work with minimal material handling, which increases productivity by more than 30% when compared to manual operations.
