Gerber Technology, world leaders in integrated software and automation solutions for the apparel and industrial markets, has announced that AccuMark®, pattern design software for the fashion and apparel industry is now available on a monthly subscription plan. The plan is offered in 3-month subscription increments.
This move eliminates the barrier of up-front cost, which often creates obstacles for companies that are starting up or operating on tighter and tighter margins. So companies of all sizes can access the industry’s leading CAD design, grading, marker making and production planning software, making it possible to bring their designs to market faster.
Mary McFadden, Executive Director, CAD Product Management at Gerber Technology averred, “We are thrilled to announce the introduction of AccuMark offered as a subscription. Companies can now accommodate seasonal demands and requirements through shorter commitment durations with full access to AccuMark during their subscription,” while adding that this new subscription plan offers expanded accessibility and user flexibility for the customers.
Since one of the challenges in the fashion industry is seasonality, a 3-month renewable subscription of AccuMark can aid users in expanding their AccuMark seats without paying for another enterprise seat that is only used for a portion of a year.
Gerber has also released AccuMark 10.2 that brings improvements to its 3D capabilities and AccuPlan™ as more complex garments can be visualized more accurately owing to an improved fabric engine that allows for increased material and physics parameters. In addition, users are able to use new design tools that allow for the creation of design lines directly on the garment. Additionally, AccuPlan now imports work orders from ERP systems, streamlining overall garment workflow.
