Fast React, the UK-based supply chain solutions provider, has published the second part of its guide to Material Requirement Planning. The guide demonstrates how Fast React’s Evolve Material Supply and Demand module linked to an ERP material purchasing and inventory module can provide a total and proactive pull system approach with full control and visibility of material supply and demand. The guide deconstructs the entire process into steps i.e. Basic Bill of Material (BOM) Data Upload, Material Demand Calculation, Material Demand Communicating Requirements to Purchasing, Upload Latest Material Supply Data and Compare Material Supply to Demand and Re–plan as Required. The first part of the guide looked at the typical problems faced when managing material supply and demand, and explored the root causes of the problem at each stage of the process.
