Epson America, a manufacturer of printing technology, has launched SureColor F10070 industry level dye sublimation textile printer.
The company’s first 76-inch printer is designed to meet the evolving needs of today’s textile industry.
The SureColor F10070 features four 4.7-inch PrecisionCore printheads that deliver high-productivity with extreme drop placement accuracy for sharp detail, bright colours and outstanding print quality.
The printer leverages the use of UltraChrome DS ink technology featuring a new ‘hot-swappable’ ink system that can automatically switch from an empty print pack to a new ink pack in between the process for an uninterrupted printing.
It delivers a continuous roll-to-roll performance at production speeds of up to 2,700 square feet per hour while saving the overall cost by over 50 per cent.
Further on the same, Tim Check, Senior Product Manager of Professional Imaging at Epson America, said “The new high-performance SureColor F10070 provides an efficient and cost-effective dye-sublimation solution for print shops looking to produce medium to large high-quality apparel runs, and bid on incoming textile orders from businesses that sell direct to the consumer.”
He added “Moreover, the SureColor F10070 supports on-shoring production needs in today’s marketplace to help shorten lead times, decrease costs and streamline workflows.”
Furthermore, the redesigned 9-inch touchscreen control panel allows continuous monitoring of print, paper and ink status and also sees the image printing. The newly added air filtration system supports an advanced auto-paper tension control and a fabric-head wiper system that cleans media and removes any dust before printing.
A media dryer at front and underside heater reach temperatures up to 230 degrees and 122 degrees Fahrenheit, respectively, to ensure a smooth full-speed print output.
It also includes the latest Epson Edge workflow software featuring an Adobe PostScript 3 engine for better colour and workflow management.
The SureColor F10070 is one of the first Epson printers which is compatible with PORT, Epson’s new production-management Cloud Solution that offers an operational dashboard view of a production line with cloud-based printer fleet reporting.
The printers will be shipped directly from Epson America beginning 1 September 2020.
