Jack Sewing Machine Co., Ltd. has laid foundation stone of its much awaited upcoming high-end intelligent sewing equipment manufacturing unit in Juhai Avenu, Taizhou, China. Heye, Director, China Sewing Machinery Association (CSMA) led the ceremony along with the Chairman of Jack Group and Mayor of Taizhou city, while some of the Government officials also marked their presence in the grand event.
The land, covering a massive 7.6 lakh square meter area, was recently allotted to Jack by the Taizhou Government. Apart from the manufacturing base, it will also witness the start-up activities of the provincial and municipal major projects related to the sewing industry.
It’s worth noting here that Jack acquired Italian shirt automation pioneer MAICA in 2017 and recently, in earlier 2018, it took over Italian jeans automation juggernaut Vibemac and ever since the merger happened, Jack kept mentioning about shifting the manufacturing base of both the companies in a separate facility.
“The new manufacturing base will now be helpful to reduce the cost of manufacturing of MAICA and Vibemac. Also, Jack will be producing its future high-end ‘A’ series lockstitch machines in this facility,” shared Elgbert, Sales Representative of South Asia, Jack with Apparel Resources which was officially covering the ceremony in Taizhou.
The manufacturing base will take about 3 years to get completed and after the completion of the project, it will have an annual production capacity of 2 million sets of intelligent sewing machines and 1,00,000 sets of intelligent special sewing machines.
Further, according to Jack, the high-end intelligent sewing equipment manufacturing base is an important measure for the company to expand and upgrade to become a complete service provider of intelligent equipment. It is claimed by the company that manufacturing will be completely robotic right from loading, unloading to assembly of parts of sewing machines.
