Archroma Textile Effects, a global provider of specialty chemicals committed to sustainable solutions, is integrating its palette of 5,760 colours into the Pointcarre digital textile design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) system. Pointcarre Textile Software, a well-established Mac and PC textile design software with a 30-year history, facilitates the creation of digital samples by fashion, home furnishing, and technical textiles designers. This software streamlines processes such as fabric weaving, knitting, and printing, allowing designers to present collections efficiently.
By integrating the Archroma colour portfolio into this system, designers will enhance their creative process with increased speed and accuracy. They will gain access to a vast searchable library of Archroma colours to enrich their designs and achieve precise colour matching during production. Notably, all Archroma colour references can be produced using dyes that comply with international eco-standards and the sustainability preferences of brand customers.
Chris Hipps, Global Head of Archroma Color Management at Archroma Textile Effects, emphasized that the Archroma Color Atlas was developed to inspire designers with colours that can be reproduced in production. Incorporating this colour library into the Pointcarre system will enhance designers’ flexibility and promote sustainability simultaneously. Steve Greenberg, President of Pointcarre Textile Software, highlighted the company’s commitment to using new technologies in design and production to benefit customers. The collaboration with Archroma enriches colour inspiration, simplifies workflows, reduces costs, and shortens turnaround times for designers.
To assist customers in maximizing the potential of the new colour library, Pointcarre is offering e-learning modules on its Academy training platform in multiple languages. The Pointcarre systems are trusted by brands like Ralph Lauren, Nautica, Tommy Hilfiger, and others. Additionally, Archroma has expanded its partnership with Browzwear, granting designers access to over 5,760 colour references through 3D digital solutions.
