Sidelining the conventional embroideries and traditional embellishments – fabric manipulations, different print mediums and 3D texture developments were seen on the runways of Wills India Fashion Week Autumn/Winter ’14-15 collections, be it on a bodycon dress, asymmetrical kurta or a saree. While Vaishali S. used cord embroidery on her collection of white ensembles, Rimzim Dadu worked with chiffon cords for creating texture on some pieces and leather cords for loop layering and intertwining on others. Beading on tulle, intricate sequin embroidery and 3D frills were revisited by Amit GT on his glam brigade, whereas, Anand Bhushan intrigued with DNA structures made from beaded belts.
