Paris based Belgian designer, Cédric Charlier who heads an independent label of apparel and accessories going by the same name, is returning to the Parisian runways this Fall.
After having showcased his collections in New York and Milan, the designer is making a comeback to his home-base in the French capital for the upcoming Paris Women’s Fashion Week.
The return also marks the elimination of his menswear line. Charlier’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection is scheduled to be exhibited on 28th September during the 2:30 p.m. slot, at the private residence of the Belgian Ambassador.
“After two seasons we decided to put menswear on standby because its production was too complicated, with menswear having different production constraints to womenswear,” the brand revealed in a statement.
The brand launched its menswear offering in January 2017 during a mixed runway show in Milan, followed by its second menswear collection in the subsequent season with another mixed presentation alongside womenswear, which took place in Paris.
For the last two seasons, the brand decided to forego runway showcases, and instead released its collections via the format of a presentation accompanied by a video. To make this impactful, Cédric Charlier revamped his website to give it a rather uber appeal.
Founded in 2012, the brand currently retails out of 155 flagships worldwide including in its main markets, U.S., and Europe, as well as South Korea and China, where it enjoys a growing presence.
