Designers KWK (Kay Kwok) and Taskin Goec have unveiled their cutting-edge mixed-reality custom 3D-printed art pieces, adorned by icons like Beyoncé, Björk, and Karol G, alongside AI-enhanced apparel at London Fashion Week 2024. The exclusive launch, presented by luxury fashion platform SYKY, showcases the innovative works of KWK and Taskin Goec in both physical and digital formats. Curated by SYKY’s Artistic Director, Nicola Formichetti, the exhibition features KWK’s 3D-printed art pieces, renowned for their chrome finish and celebrity endorsements.
KWK’s custom 3D-printed art creations for celebrities and artists are exhibited in physical and digital realms, each crafted in chrome and donned on special occasions by renowned figures. Taskin Goec, a Berlin-based mixed-reality designer, leveraged a custom AI model inspired by his previous works to craft a hybrid collection featured through SYKY. The resulting garments showcase intricate textures generated by the AI model and refined through handcrafted techniques like pleating, fraying, and printing. In the digital sphere, Taskin Goec’s collection faithfully captures its physical essence through cloth simulations and procedural node configurations. Within SYKY’s collection are seven digital fashion pieces and The Bouquet Baseball Cap, a standout design incorporating real flowers.
Enthusiasts of mixed-reality fashion can acquire the physical or digital editions of these collections, brought to life through 3D printing and advanced AI modeling. SYKY has announced that the collections by KWK and Taskin Goec showcased at London Fashion Week will be available for purchase on its website, offering transactions in both cryptocurrency and fiat currency (USD). KWK’s exclusive launch marks the commencement of ‘SYKY Drops,’ a monthly series unveiling digital and physical pieces on the first Friday of each month.
