Guess recently announced through a press note that its Chief Executive Officer and Director, Victor Herrero was exiting the company effective February 2, 2019.
Maurice Marciano, Chairman of the Board, commented, “On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to thank Victor for his contributions during his tenure and wish him well in his endeavors.”
The role of the new CEO and Director of the company will be taken over by Carlos Alberini, who was previously the President and Chief Operating Officer of the company during the period between 2000 and 2010 which will be effective as soon as he separates from his current employer.
Upon leaving the company, Alberini was appointed in the role of Co-CEO of Restoration Hardware until 2014, and was a Director on the Board of Restoration Hardware since 2010. He is presently the Chairman and CEO of Lucky Brand since 2014.

Maurice Marciano will be the acting Chief Executive Officer during the transition period while the company also announced that, Paul Marciano has agreed to remain as Chief Creative Officer upon the request of the Board of Directors. His employment will be “at will”.
