Who’s the next Senior VP at Adidas? Vanessa LeFebvre, who was previously the President of Lord & Taylor, will be joining Adidas as their new Senior Vice President, commercial as per WWD.
The role will require her to oversee the US segment of the brand that spans across wholesale, stores and dot-com businesses, starting next month.
She will be relocating to the American Headquarters of Adidas located in Portland, Oregon, while reporting to Zion Armstrong, President of Adidas North America. “She will be responsible for defining the overall commercial strategy in North America, which will include wholesale, owned retail, e-commerce and key cities,” an Adidas spokeswoman said on Friday, without any comments from LeFebvre.
Owing to constant collaborations with popular celebrities such as Beyoncé, Kanye West, etc., the Herzogenaurach, Germany-based sportswear empire, has reported rapid growth, reaching to a market value of 22 billion euro Adidas footwear. Reebok, one of the top four sportswear brands globally, is also owned by Adidas.
LeFebvre was in the position of the President of Lord & Taylor since May 2018, until it was announced by the company’s parent group, Hudson’s Bay Co., that the department store chain was up for sale. The division was struggling well before LeFebvre had assumed the President’s role.
She was previously working at Stitch Fix, where her focus areas were data science and personalisation, being the Vice President over women’s department. Preceding that, she was at Macy’s Inc., where she was instrumental in launching the backstage off-price concept that Macy’s continues to roll out inside its stores.
