2017 edition of Première Vision New York, which concluded recently, noted more than 3,985 visits. This year 287 exhibitors from all over the world attended the exhibition to display fabrics, leather, accessories, designs, etc. while younger designers enjoyed the benefits of the exhibition’s renewed collaboration with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) including smaller-scale orders and expert guidance.
Nelly Partow, Brand Ambassador of the show, said, “Both the CFDA and Première Vision are all about inspiration, creativity and fashion. I worked for Calvin Klein and John Varvatos before starting my own brand, and really appreciate the support for a young designer that can be found right here, within these walls.”
The show offered range of new products with high-tech and functional treatments along with the latest trends in fashion colours and motifs.

Overall, according to the show organizers, exhibitors seemed pleased that visitors were sourcing a variety of fashion looks and seeking out the opportunities for customization.
Luca Breschi of Olmetex, one of the exhibitors, highlighted, “Our most popular demand was for pleated and metallic looks, especially an enzyme-treated look and a linen-coating for outerwear,” adding, “We are finding some good customers here! Some ‘mom-and-pops,’ but several big brands too.”
