Magic, the fashion tradeshow that takes place in Las Vegas annually around August, has announced postponement of the show at least till September this year.
Informa Markets, the parent entity of Magic, has revealed the new dates will be from 29 September to 1 October instead of the originally decided upon 17 to 19 August.
The Las Vegas Convention Center will continue to serve as venue.
Informa Markets is also preparing the venue to meet the requisites of social distancing norms as well as cleaning and disinfection to ensure the safety of the staff, attendees and the participants.
They’re also ramping up digital offering for visitors interested in summer collections.
“We know that the fashion community is eager and enthusiastic to connect again. We also know our partner brands and retailers put a lot of effort into attending one of our shows or into the logistics of exhibiting,” said Nancy Walsh, President of Informa Fashion Markets, in a statement.
She added that they feel it is necessary to provide the industry a platform to move forward by providing business opportunities at a time when most people are re-assessing their businesses.
