After webinars, now virtual fairs are becoming a regular part of textile and apparel industry in ‘new normal’ world.
Handloom Export Promotion Council (HEPC) is organising a virtual Reverse Buyer Seller Meet (RBSM).
The event, scheduled on 7, 10 and 11 August, will witness around 300 buyers from across the world and nearly 200 Indian companies will showcase their products like fabrics, home furnishing products and fashion accessories.
Costing Rs. 2,360 per exhibitor (including taxes), the event, with financial assistance from the office of the Development Commissioner for Handlooms, is coinciding with National Handloom Day (7 August 2020).
“HEPC is reshaping its strategies into allocating more of its marketing activities on digital frontiers and utilising virtual substitutes to meet the demand in market. This virtual RBSM is also an effort in this direction,” the Council said.
It is pertinent to mention here that the export of handloom products from India was valued at US $ 343.69 million in FY19.
It’s worth noting that under the Ministry of Textiles, HEPC has about 2,000 members.
