
The Functional Fabric Fair, powered by PERFORMANCE DAYS, concluded its summer edition in New York City with record-breaking attendance, showing an impressive 18 per cent increase from previous years. Major brands like Calvin Klein, HOKA, L.L. Bean, NOBULL, Peter Millar, Under Armour, and Vineyard Vines were among the attendees, underscoring the event’s significance in the performance and sustainable sourcing sectors.
The fair showcased cutting-edge innovations in high-performance fabrics, finishes, trims, and accessories for the 2025/2026 seasons, featuring over 140 sustainably certified suppliers. The event’s dynamic show floor was alive with interactive exhibits, hands-on demonstrations, and networking opportunities that highlighted advancements in sustainable textiles.

Notable activities included the Design Lab (LIVE), where sustainable fashion designer Kelly Dempsey created a performance kimono jacket using exhibitor materials. The garment, showcased in a silent auction benefiting FABSCRAP, highlighted the fair’s commitment to sustainable fashion.
The Trend Forum attracted considerable interest, featuring displays across 12 categories including Baselayer, Midlayer, and Function Meets Fashion. Attendees accessed exclusive samples of 100 per cent sustainable fabrics and engaged with expert-led sessions on industry trends, sustainability, and ethical sourcing.
