The event, organised by a consortium of Textile Export Promotion Councils (EPCs) and supported by the MoT, is scheduled to happen at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi (14th-17th February 2025) as well as India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida (12th to 15th February 2025).
In the curtain raiser event in Delhi, the Union Minister of Textiles, Giriraj Singh assured that he personally and the entire team of MoT will leave no stone unturned so the event can set a new benchmark. “We will make sure that the Bharat Tex can become instrumental to attract more FDI in India and that none of the stakeholders are left behind in this growth opportunity,” said Giriraj Singh.
He urged everyone to make Bharat Tex successful and said that the event is not about the Ministry or the EPCs, it is about making ‘Brand India’ strong and achieving India’s textile export target of US $ 350 billion by 2030 and adding 3.5 crore jobs.
He further added that the Union Government’s PLI scheme for textiles will enable the apparel industry to boost production and promote its branding. The Minister also added that the PLI scheme will enable the linking of the textile value chain and lure FDI in the country.
