In a significant development, the BGBA delegation had the opportunity to meet with the newly appointed Chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) on Wednesday at the NBR Headquarters. The discussion provided an excellent opportunity to discuss crucial issues such as Advance Income Tax (AIT), customs clearance taxes for sample yards and trims from the airport, and other pressing concerns.
The meetings were particularly productive, leaving both parties encouraged about the potential progress that may be made through further collaboration. The BGBA team is pleased about the excellent outcomes that are projected to result from this collaboration.
Looking ahead, the BGBA has been invited to participate in the upcoming pre-budget meeting with all stakeholders, as well as the post-budget dinner with the Chief Advisor. These future discussions are expected to strengthen the cooperation and address important industry hurdles.
