Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister M. Tofazzel Hossain Miah emphasised the crucial role of timely reforms and good governance in fostering a business-friendly environment to prepare the country for the post-LDC graduation period.
He made these remarks while serving as the chief guest at the Validation Workshop on Final Draft Study Reports on Market Access, Comparative Advantage, and Export Diversification, along with Upscaling the RMG Sector, held recently in Dhaka.
The opening of the workshop featured remarks from ERD Additional Secretary and Project Director of SSGP, Farid Aziz. RAPID chairman and Research Director of PRI, Dr. Mohammad Abdur Razzaque, provided insights into the major findings of the studies during his keynote address.
The event also saw contributions from former ERD Senior Secretary and Adviser of SSGP, Sharifa Khan; Vice Chairman of EB, A. H. M. Ahsan; Director General of the Duty Exemption and Drawback Office (DEDO), Mohammad Belal Hossain Chowdhury; and Director of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), Abdullah Hil Rakib, who participated as panellists.
