
On 8th August, a 17-member interim administration led by Dr. Muhammad Yunus was established following the Sheikh Hasina government’s overthrow due to the student uprising.
The interim administration has assigned Brigadier General Sakhawat Hussain the position of Textile and Jute Ministry. The chief advisor of the interim administration provided this information in a message on Friday.
Earlier, on 8th August, the day after taking an oath of office as an advisor, M Sakhawat Hossain was named Home Affairs Advisor to the Interim Government.
M Sakhawat Hossain is a writer, scholar, and former election commissioner from Bangladesh who also served in the military. From 2007 until 2012, he served as a commissioner for the Bangladesh Election Commission.
