Jordan Government Investor Portal has launched a new project on its website for chemically recycling fibre-to-fibre yarn production, called ‘Invest Jo’.
The recycling hub will be situated in Al Hassan Industrial Estate (HIE), where the produced textile waste will be processed through chemical recycling. The aim of this initiative is to cut down on pollution and preserve the environment with recycling and re-using.
The investment is expected to cost US $ 2 million with a payback term of 6 years wherein the cost will be cut down by multiple companies sharing the recycling hub. As a result of this investment, production efficiency is expected to rise while reducing the cost of raw materials used for manufacturing and limiting landfills.
Moreover, the development is further expected to generate a new source of income for manufacturers. It will also create a positive impact on the customer as a result of compliance with environmental regulations.
