The Amann Group, a major international producer of embroidery and sewing threads, will make its presence felt through Mitsubishi booth, a well-known name in the sewing machinery world.
Aware about its responsibilities towards conserving environment, Amann has initiated many eco-friendly programmes. The first step is toward optimizing the eco-balance of its production process.
Its first initiative in the dyeing process has already started giving results. The dyeing process is seeing savings in vital areas such as fresh water (40%), waste water (30%), dyestuff (20%), dyeing additives (30%) and energy consumption (40%). The company has achieved these results by using physiologically harmless dyestuffs that are in accordance with Öko-Tex Standard 100 under the strict German regulations regarding consumer goods.
Amann Lifecycle Threads made of organic cotton will soon be presented to the market under the LIFECYCLE brand.
The growing range of Amann threads include Saba, a universal and efficient sewing thread made from high tenacity fibres. This 100% polyester core-spun thread stands not only for optimum sewing performance but top seam quality as well. Another gem in the Amann’s range is Rasant, which is a perfect synthesis of polyester core and cotton covering making it an outstandingly efficient thread.
SabaTex is a bulk polyester yarn effective for women’s wear, men’s fashion, underwear, work and sportswear. Its softness, volume and bulkiness provide a most pleasant seam and excellent coverage. For strong and heavy duty seams Amann’s Serafil made from strong, durable, high-tenacity polyester continuous filaments for leather applications.
Other sewing thread innovations of the company include the Sabaflex which is an innovative elastic sewing thread made of a new material for highly elastic seams and TechX Performance Thread which is a specialty range to satisfy sophisticated technical requirements, for example, heat, UV-rays, and chemical-resistance. Among the embroidery thread the new glow-in-the-dark embroidery thread Isa Texlight is available in ticket No. 40.
