The Faridabad unit of Shahi Exports has recently won seven Haryana State Safety & Welfare Awards for the year 2008 and 2009. The awards which were declared at a grand function by the Haryana Labour Welfare Department were distributed by Shiv Charan Lal Sharma, Minister of State for Labour & Employment, Haryana; Sharban Singh, Financial Commissioner & Principal Secretary to Govt. of Haryana; Satwanti Ahlawat, Labour Commissioner & Welfare Commissioner, Haryana; and K S Chahal, Dy. Director, Industrial Safety & Health.
The various categories for which the awards were given to the unit were – Winner for Sports Facilities amongst large scale factories for the year 2008; Winner for Crèche Arrangement amongst large scale factories for the year 2008; Runner-up for First Aid Arrangement amongst large scale factories for the year 2008; Winner for Lowest Frequency Rate of Accident in the category of Garment for the year 2009; Winner for Longest Accident Free Period in the category of Garment for the year 2009; Winner for Creche Arrangement amongst large scale factories for the year 2009; and Runner-up for Sports Facility amongst large scale factories for the year 2009.
