Egypt and Germany plan to soon start an International Trade Fair for Textile Industries in Egypt with the intent of bringing all exporters and importers of the world on one platform.
This was discussed at length when Amr Nassar, Minister of Trade and Industry Egypt, recently met the representatives of Germany’s Messe Frankfurt, led by Uwe Behm to review the plan.
Besides serving as a platform for bringing exporters and importers together, the fair also aims at making many business deals happen. The Minister said that starting a trade fair for textile industry is a part of Government’ strategy to make Egypt a commercial destination to serve the Middle East as well as Africa.
Expressing happiness over the plan, Behm said that Germany’s association with Egypt in organising exhibitions and conferences dates back to almost a century.
He also added that going forward Messe Frankfurt plans to hold meetings and workshops with concerned authorities in Egypt so as to start the exhibition in the country.
