US-based VF Corporation, a global leader in branded lifestyle apparel, footwear, and accessories, has announced the appointments of new Vice-President and President for its The North Face and Smartwool brands respectively.
Travis Campbell who was with VF’s Smartwool brand has now been named as Vice President, General Manager, The North Face®, while Jennifer McLaren, CFO Smartwool, has been named as successor of Campbell to be the President of Smartwool with immediate effect. This was announced by the company in a statement issued on June 25.
Travis has been chosen for this role due to his strong leadership role and skill to ensure success of the organisation, keeping long-term business objectives under focus.
Campbell will relocate to VF’s Outdoor Campus in Alameda, California. McLaren, who has been with VF since 2011, will continue to be based at the Smartwool® brand’s headquarters in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
“The company decided to name Travis as Vice President due to his proven track record of business leadership clubbed with long association with outdoor industry and personal passion for outdoors,” stated Scott Baxter, VF’s Group President, Americas West in an official release.
In this new role, Campbell has been assigned to take care of brand’s business in America by creating and executing growth strategies in sales, direct-to-consumer, and merchandising. Additionally, he would also have to establish Americas Region Leadership Team and ensure the successful regional activation of the global brand vision. Campbell will now report to Arne Arens, Global President, The North Face®.
Before association with VF, Campbell also served Far Bank Enterprises, Redington, and RIO brands, Sage Manufacturing and Deloitte Consulting, and Andersen Consulting in various roles.
