Luxury fashion brand Valentino has confirmed that chief executive Jacopo Venturini is leaving his leadership position at the Italian luxury house.
In a short statement, the group said that it had “mutually agreed” with Venturini to terminate his employment and board appointments, effective 13th August 2025, citing that he has opted to take a personal break.
A replacement will be announced later. Aside from the official statement, Valentino has not provided additional information and has refused to address the issue.
Rumors that Venturini might be leaving had emerged in June when the company announced that he was on medical leave. His exit coincides with the period when Valentino, like most peers in the luxury and ultra-luxury sector, is facing falling sales and profitability.
The company did not issue any word on creative director Alessandro Michele, the onetime Gucci star designer, though insiders anticipate him staying on.
Venturini’s departure highlights the larger wave of leadership shakeups—both creative and executive—spreading across global luxury groups as the industry grapples with a deepening slowdown, with some brands reporting sharp double-digit decreases in revenues and earnings.
