Sustainable fashion brand Ecoalf is spreading its base in Japan with a flagship store in the popular district of Shibuya in Tokyo.
The Spanish brand’s new location will be designed by architect Yohei Sakamaki and will be reminiscent of the brand’s sustainable roots.
Natural and recycled materials such as stone, bamboo, sand and wood will be used throughout the property and the second floor of the flagship will be dedicated to educational events and talks.
The interiors are rich with the sustainability concept ‘Sharing ecology’ and will feature a giant rock named ‘Date Kanmuri-Ishi’ and giant wood panels.
Hosting its complete range of collections of clothing, accessories, footwear and yoga for women, men and kids, this store in Japan is part of the joint venture of Ecoalf with Japanese clothing company Sanyo Shokai Ltd. announced last year.
President and founder of Ecoalf, Javier Goyenechem expressed at the announcement of the flagship, “Today, I’m very proud and honoured to witness Ecoalf Shibuya, our first flagship store in Japan where you will experience much more than just fashion…but innovation, too,” reiterating the brand’s aim to raise awareness about the need to protect the planet.
