Prada has announced the release of its latest Timecapsule NFT iteration for January which would be its 8th exclusive Timecapsule drop. The soon-to-be-released Timecapsule shirt will feature a print designed by Enzo Ragazzini in 1969. Each shirt in the collection features a unique print from the photographer’s archive from the late 1960s and early 1970s.
Prada welcomes the Web3 community and addresses a new audience with the release of a new item on 5th January, accompanied by a gift NFT that gives buyers access to exclusive content.
Using the optical interference technique and mechanical devices of Ragazzini’s own invention, the design for this January’s ‘Interferenza Ottica Art Print by Enzo Ragazzini 1969’ shirt dates back to 1969 and was made for an exhibition at London’s Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA). The project was fully digitised in 2017.
The poplin shirt features a Prada enamelled triangle emblem on the chest pocket saying ‘JANUARY’ on the back. Each Prada shirt comes with a gift NFT, which acts as an invitation to join the exclusive Crypted NFT club.
The Timecapsule drop will be available for only 24 hours and in a limited quantity (just 50 shirts) across many countries.
The shirts from the Prada Timecapsule NFT collection are limited edition and come with a non-transferable token (NFT). The Prada Crypted NFT community on Discord is another perk of owning an NFT, as members of this group will have access to special perks and events.
The Timecapsule NFT by Prada displays the brand’s commitment to innovation and the integration of digital assets into the luxury fashion world. By providing both physical and digital assets of value, Prada paves the way for a new era of luxury fashion that seamlessly combines technology and traditional craftsmanship.
