Purpose-driven materials science firm PANGAIA has increased its product offering in response to the popularity of Motion, a collection inspired by plants that debuted last autumn. The range now includes a new capsule collection for men and more hues for women.
The brand’s biggest bio-based product to date, the PANGAIA Motion line is the first of its type and is created with 30 per cent plant-based creora® spandex and 99.99 per cent plant-based EVO® Nylon. With seamless forms that are comfortable and stretchy and are made to feel like a second skin with light compression, the activewear has an updated look and feel.
“We are thrilled to see such a fabulous reaction to PANGAIA’s plant-based Motion collection,” said Claire O’Neill, Hyosung European Marketing Manager.
Creora® bio-based spandex was originally made available in an activewear line by PANGAIA. The yarn has SGS certification, which ensures that it was manufactured sustainably and with plant-based components. A recent third-party LCA found that manufacturing creora® bio-based spandex results in a 20 per cent reduction in carbon footprint compared to manufacturing conventional spandex.
