Levi’s India, the Indian arm of US-based denim and lifestyle brand Levi Strauss & Co., has opened its 500th store at Phoenix Marketcity in Bengaluru, marking a major milestone in the brand’s retail expansion in the country.
Levi’s entered the Indian market in 1995 and has expanded its retail presence across key markets over the past three decades. The brand has increasingly focused on larger and experiential store formats as part of its retail strategy, alongside its presence across other sales channels.
The 500-store network now spans markets including Mumbai, Chennai, Pune, Lucknow and Indore. With the latest Bengaluru outlet, Levi’s continues to strengthen its presence in premium retail locations while investing in larger formats aimed at enhancing consumer engagement.
According to Hiren Gor, MD-SAMEA, Levi Strauss & Co. Levi Strauss & Co reported US $6.3 billion revenue in FY25 globally and has set a US $10 billion revenue ambition. India is already among its top six markets globally. Product localisation is another lever.
He added that Levi’s India has a 10-member design team, with 95% of products made in India designed for the Indian market and about 85% being original India-for-India designs.
