ColorPlus recently launched the ‘Xnovation’ range of cotton clothing for men in partnership with XLA™. The Xnovation range is based on feedback of customers seeking further improvement on the parameters of softness, color brilliance and wrinkle free properties in cotton apparel. The range offers clothing with cotton comfort to the power of ‘x’ made from high quality cotton woven with XLA™ Fiber for extra comfort and superior performance. Announcing the new range Vineesh Chadha, CEO, ColorPlus Fashions Ltd said, “In the context of today’s fitted and slimmer silhouettes for men and women the need for comfort stretch as stress points was desired. We scanned the latest breakthrough technologies from all over the world and decided to partner with XLA™.”
XLA™ is the world’s first olefin-based revolutionary fibber from the stable of Dow Fibber Solutions. XLA™ fiber has comfort stretch properties that can withstand very high temperatures (up to 2200c). XLA™ and ColorPlus have worked hand in hand on the project to enhance the look, comfort and performance of ColorPlus Chinos. The current Process from ColorPlus was made compatible to handle the fabric with XLA™ core spun yarn. For this process, the fabric is subjected to the sub zero temperatures (-330c) that normally prevail high above the earth and then put them into ovens where the temperatures reach levels which are normally experienced deep below the earths surface (1500c). Such dramatic treatment on fabric serves to enhance the hand feel and increase colour depth and the garment acquires strong wrinkle defying properties. The process delivers trousers with a sharp line crease for the pristine look – which stays till the very end of a hectic day.
The ‘Xnovation’ collection offers non-iron shirts, mercerized knit polo’s, Chino trousers, suits and innerwear for men. Xnovation collection for women also will be on retail soon.
