Amidst all the struggles owing to COVID-19, various retailers and brands have come forward to support the effort to fight this pandemic. And how are they doing it!
Many bigwigs have announced donations to various organisations working in this direction.
Nike’s leaders and the company’s foundation have announced the donation of more than US $ 15 million. It will support communities where Nike employees live and work. This amount will be distributed to various funds like Oregon Food Bank, Oregon Community Recovery Fund, among others.
Nike is the second biggest job provider in the home state of Oregon offering jobs to around 12,000 people.
Similarly, Walmart and the Walmart Foundation would give US $ 25 million to help support the fight against COVID-19.
Some of the other brands that have come forward to support the pandemic includes, LVMH (US $ 2.2 million), Richemont Group (US $ 1.4 million), Giorgio Armani (US $ 1.4 million) and Kering (US 1 million).
It is worth mentioning here that various retailers and brands donated earlier also when the epicentre of COVID-19 was China.
