Eternal’s quick-commerce platform Blinkit recorded the highest product availability among major quick-commerce players in India, with an average in-stock rate of 94.4%, according to a report by brokerage firm Bernstein.
Flipkart Minutes ranked second with product availability of 88.7%, followed by Swiggy Instamart at 83.8% and Zepto at 82.5%.
Blinkit maintained availability of around 94-95% throughout the observation period, while Instamart and Zepto recorded sharper fluctuations, with availability falling below 80% at certain intervals.
Instamart saw the steepest decline in availability as the day progressed, at 11%, followed by Zepto at 6%. Blinkit and Flipkart Minutes recorded declines of 5% each. Bernstein attributed Instamart’s sharper drop to challenges in demand forecasting and inventory replenishment.
The brokerage said product availability is emerging as a key competitive differentiator in India’s quick-commerce market, where platforms have traditionally competed on delivery speed and pricing. Maintaining high availability requires effective demand forecasting, dark-store management, procurement and logistics operations.
Bernstein said Blinkit’s stronger availability could support customer retention and reduce churn as consumers increasingly prefer platforms that can fulfil a larger share of their shopping baskets.
On the financial front, Eternal reported revenue of Rs 15,664 crore for Blinkit in Q1 FY27, while Swiggy Instamart recorded revenue of Rs 1,232 crore during the quarter. Zepto reported revenue of Rs 22,624 crore in FY26. Blinkit and Zepto follow inventory-led models, while Instamart primarily operates under a marketplace model, resulting in differences in revenue recognition.
