Amazon is creating more job opportunities!
The US e-commerce stalwart has said that it plans to create 4,000 new jobs as it announces the opening of two new warehouses in the UK.
The two new warehouses open near Liverpool as well as in West Yorkshire.
The 4,000 new openings will take Amazon’s total number of employees in the UK to 75,000.
It is worth stating here that only last year, the e-commerce firm had created as many as 2,500 jobs in the UK – at a time when pandemic was at its peak.
The new roles include warehousing and corporate in London and Manchester, besides technology in Edinburgh and Cambridge.
Meanwhile, the US firm reported its biggest ever Prime Day discounting event last week (12 and 13 July). Notably, prime members bought more than 100,000 items every minute across the world.
