YKK Corporation, a Japan-based global manufacturer of zippers, fastening products has announced plans to establish a new manufacturing facility in India through its subsidiary, YKK India Private Limited, as the country strengthens its position as a major global textile and apparel manufacturing hub.
The new manufacturing facility will be built at ORIGINS by Mahindra World City in Tiruvallur district, Tamil Nadu. YKK plans to invest approximately US $150 million in the project, covering land acquisition, construction, machinery, and equipment.
It will be developed on a land area of 149,936 square metres, with a planned building area of 74,658 square metres. Construction is expected to be completed by February 2028.
The plant will operate alongside the company’s two existing factories in Haryana and is intended to support increasing demand from both the domestic market and export-oriented manufacturing sectors.
