It is worth mentioning here that Narendra Goenka, who has taken charge as AEPC Chairman, had said in an interview with Apparel Resources that expansions are the need of the hour as opportunities are coming our way.
In recent months, Texport is the second well-known apparel exporter, after Kitex Garments,to have announced its investment in Telangana.
The company has done a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the State Government for the same.
Shailaja Ramaiyer, Handlooms and Textiles Commissioner, Telangana and Narendra D. Goenka, MD, TIPL signed the MoU in the presence of Industries and IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao.
The State Government has claimed that for the first time in the country export-oriented garment manufacturing BTS Units on Plug and Play Mode are coming up by utilising the state-of-the-art manufacturing ecosystem in the Sircilla region.
BTS is a type of real estate development where a property owner or developer agrees to build a building for sale or lease to the specifications of a prospective tenant, who signs a lease agreement to occupy the property once it is complete.
It will enable forward integration of Sircilla Powerloom weaving industry with the apparel and garment manufacturing process, thus aiding development of textile sector in the state.
