Activewear brand TechnoSport has appointed Anirudh Pratap as Head of Product and Design as it expands its product portfolio, retail presence, and category footprint in India.
TechnoSport stated in a release that in his new role Anirudh will translate consumer behaviour, cultural shifts, and performance needs into products designed for everyday movement. His role will span materials, fits, silhouettes, graphics, functional details, and seasonal collections, while strengthening the processes that connect insight, design, development, and commercial execution.
Pratap brings over 21 years of experience in the sportswear, activewear, and athleisure sectors. His previous roles include a senior leadership position at Reebok, where he worked as Product Head Apparel (India). Before that, he spent 10 years at Adidas as Category Manager for Men’s Training Apparel and Footwear.
Speaking on the appointment, Puspen Maity, CEO, TechnoSport, said, “Anirudh’s global sportswear experience will help us sharpen our product thinking and create a more distinctive portfolio for Indian consumers.”
The brand currently operates 52 EBOs across India and offers a wide range of activewear and athleisure products for men, women, and kids, including T-shirts, polos, tops, sports bras, shorts, track pants, joggers, leggings, jackets, sweatshirts, hoodies, and performance footwear.
The brand caters to various sports and fitness activities such as running, training, yoga, badminton, cricket, football, cycling, and golf, while also serving the growing demand for casual and everyday activewear.
In related news, TechnoSport has installed the advanced ZR series Long Tube Jet Dyeing Machines from Hisaka Works Ltd., Japan for the development of high-performance synthetic fabrics.
