In August, Texport Industries, which had signed an MoU with the State Government, plans to launch a manufacturing facility for export-quality fabrics. On the outskirts of Sircilla in Apparel Park, work is being done to build the facility.
The State Government is giving this business all the sheds and infrastructure it needs as part of the expansion of the textile sector. Texport Industries will be the second-largest enterprise at the apparel park.
In addition to serving the home market, Texport Industries will produce and export knitted fabric for men, women, and children. While currently based in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala, its manufacturing operations are expanding to Sircilla.
More than 2,000 people would be employed by the company once it begins its production and exporting operations, according to Regional Deputy Director of the Handlooms and Textiles Department, V Ashok Rao.
He also added by saying, “Around 3,000 skilled workers have been trained at Sircilla Textile Park. Texport Industry’s construction is taking place on a seven-acre plot with a built-up area of 1.5 lakh square feet. The State Government has provided land at Apparel Park for other fabric manufacturing units.”
