The company, which specialises in photo fabric graphics and UV direct-to-substrate graphics, has said that it will now be increasing its capacity by 3 times to produce millions of surgical masks every week.
The masks, reportedly, will meet ASTM F2100 performance standards.
Moss has distinctly stated that all those needing bulk supplies will receive their requirements in weeks. Notably, it’s taken just 4 months for Moss to reach this stage.
In a short span of time, its team members in Germany have teamed up with engineering experts at Fraunhofer IPT to make proprietary mask-making equipment for Moss.
Moss has high-speed automated production lines in the US, including the one in Franklin Park in Illinois, in addition to having specialised lines in Lennestadt in Germany and Changzhou in China.
The company has been shipping bulk orders of surgical masks, all across America, under the Emergency Use Authorisation while working to submit the product for formal FDA registration.
While stating that organisations that have always been worried about buying surgical masks for daily use now have easy access to a tested, timely and dependable mask supply, Dan Patterson, President and CEO, Moss, said “It’s a better way forward for preparedness and efficiency.”
Moss, known for providing high-quality solutions worldwide, will soon unveil an anti-fog face shield. The company said it has plans to produce 160,000 of these face shields every month.
