Fashion supply chain platform Fashinza has announced the acquisition of Qckin, a manufacturing-focused design-to-delivery start-up founded by industry veterans Prem Kumar and Manojkumar Patil.
The acquisition represents a strategic move by Fashinza to integrate its technology-led sourcing capabilities with specialised manufacturing, enabling global fashion brands to transition from design to production more rapidly and cost-effectively. The development comes amid shifting global trade dynamics and geopolitical uncertainties, which are prompting brands to diversify sourcing strategies. In response, Fashinza is strengthening its manufacturing ecosystem through captive facilities aimed at building a more resilient supply chain.
Qckin’s founding team, which collectively brings over five decades of industry experience across companies such as Cultfit, Brand Studio, Raymond, Royal Enfield and Gokaldas, will continue to lead operations post-acquisition. They will work closely with Fashinza to scale specialised manufacturing capabilities across India and Bangladesh, with a focus on high-demand categories including shirts, T-shirts, jeans, trousers and woven tops.
Abhishek Sharma, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Fashinza, stated that global fashion supply chains were undergoing a fundamental transformation, with brands increasingly prioritising speed, transparency and reliability in manufacturing. He noted that Fashinza’s long-term vision had been to combine technology with manufacturing expertise to build a modern supply chain platform, and added that the integration of Qckin would mark a significant step towards establishing specialised manufacturing clusters across India, Bangladesh and China that are deeply integrated with its technology platform and capable of serving global brands at scale.
Prem Kumar, Co-Founder of Qckin, said that his experience in managing factories and sourcing for large brands had highlighted persistent inefficiencies in traditional apparel manufacturing. He added that the partnership with Fashinza would enable the combination of operational expertise with a technology platform that enhances demand visibility, planning and access to global markets.
Manojkumar Patil, Co-Founder of Qckin, stated that the partnership would facilitate the development of highly specialised manufacturing units capable of delivering speed, quality and flexibility. He further noted that, supported by Fashinza’s global brand relationships and supply chain technology, India has the potential to emerge as a stronger manufacturing base for next-generation fashion brands.
The Qckin facility will initially focus on shirts and woven tops, with plans to expand manufacturing capabilities over time. Fashinza currently works with several global and domestic brands, including Shein, Reliance Retail, Myntra and The Bear House. The company has also recently achieved profitability, supported by strong growth in its European business.
As global supply chains continue to evolve, Fashinza is positioning itself as a technology-driven manufacturing partner, with plans to expand its presence across three to four locations in India through further acquisitions and strategic partnerships.
