India’s leading apparel exporter Pratibha Syntex is going for massive expansion as the company is investing around Rs. 110 crore. All planning has been finalised in this regard. In long run, this project is expected to create around 4,000 jobs.
Nitin Seth, COO of the company told Apparel Resources, “We are looking at a mix of increasing business with existing buyers and adding new customers to fill our new units.”
He further added that the capacity build up will start by January 2022 and full capacity build up will happen by end of 2022. We are going to install 750 working sewing machines along with required training set-up.
Though few other states are also giving lucrative options to attract investment in apparel manufacturing, the company has decided to invest in MP as it knows the state well and its work culture. Moreover, the management has exuded confidence of doing well in its known area of operation.
It is important to state here that the company has also received support of US $ 4.5 million (approximately Rs. 33.75 crore) as a long-term loan, from The Good Fashion Fund.
This fund will support Pratibha Syntex’s planned capital expenditures for the replacement of machinery and expansion of sustainable equipment in their spinning, processing and garmenting divisions, as well as provide new equipment for the expansion of their activities and facilities.
